RSPCA looking for Worcestershire homes for animals from a galaxy far far away

WORCESTER and Mid-Worcestershire’s RSPCA branch are looking for new owners for a selection of furry friends from a galaxy far, far away this May the Fourth.

The three animals are named after classic Star Wars characters and include rabbits Jabba The Fluff and Jar Jar Binky.

Jabba the Fluff, named after the slug-like Tatooine gangster from Return of the Jedi, is a two year old female Lionhead Cross rabbit and has been described by staff as a ‘beautiful girl.’

The RSPCA staff say Jabba started out shy but has grown in confidence since being separated from another rabbit she was previously housed with, as she now puts her front paws on their legs when they visit and reaches up to see if they’ve brought food.

Claire Wood, from the RSPCA Worcester and Mid-Worcestershire Branch, said: “We think Jabba could adapt to life as an indoor or outdoor rabbit, as long as she has plenty of space and lots to do. She loves puzzle feeders and she loves to chew-her carrot chew toy has proved a particular favourite.”

Jar Jar, whose namesake was an energetic alien in the franchises prequel films, is active, intelligent and inquistive who is free spirited and knows what she wants.

Staff have said she’ll definitely need a male rabbit to keep her company though, so anyone who already has a boy bunny would make the ideal owner for Jar Jar.

If you’d prefer a feline friend look no further than Count Dooku, who unlike the Sith Lord he’s named after, is gentle and sweet-natured.

Dooku was an injured stray when the RSPCA took him in, and has grown in confidence massively.

He loves contact and is very easy going, so should really enjoy being around calm and gentle children, however staff are unsure as to how he’d react to living with other animals.

Claire Wood added: “We would love to see these lovely animals find their forever homes and would invite anyone interested to get in touch with us.”
