A BARISTA based in Evesham has outshone hundreds of others to make the finals of a national competition.
Joanne Osbourne, representing Costa Coffee in Tesco, Evesham is one of 12 talented baristas advancing to the final of Costa Coffee’s UK and Ireland Barista of the Year competition.
Her journey to the finals of the UK&I Barista of the Year has been marked by fierce competition.
Over the past few weeks, Joanne has demonstrated her passion and skills across two challenging regional stages. Initially, she impressed by crafting four Costa coffee beverages, each meeting the brand’s high standards.
Then, the barista showcased her depth of coffee knowledge and sensory skills to create and present her own innovative speciality hot drink.
Joanne will take on other renowned baristas on April 23 and 24 in Liverpool.
The baristas will compete across three ‘exciting’ rounds which will test expertise, precision and creativity.
The winner and runners up (second and third place) will progress into Costa Coffee’s Global Barista of the Year competition in July 2024.
