THE LUXURIOUS surroundings of a historic manor can be enjoyed by the public for the first time in more than a century following a multi-million pound revamp.
Foxhill Manor, situated on the 400 acre Farncombe Estate near Broadway, has just undergone a £2.2million refurbishment and is now available to hire for weddings, house parties and exclusive events.
Built in 1909, the Grade-II listed eight-bedroomed home comes with a ballroom, media room and grand staircase and guests can even benefit from their own chef and house butler.
The revamp, which was carried out by the same team which created the Dormy House Hotel and House Spa, has made sure the Cotswold stone mullions, fireplaces and other original features have been preserved, but the interiors have been given a modern makeover by English design firm, Trevillion Interiors.
Chris Ward, commercial director of the Farncombe Estate, said: “A great deal of care has gone into ensuring the house remains true to its heritage while creating an exceptional space for events.
“The setting of Foxhill Manor and range of activities available – from shooting, archery and cycling on the estate and golf at the Broadway Golf Club next door – make it perfect for house parties and board meetings.
“And without question it will become the most sought-after wedding venue in the Cotswolds.”
