SUMMER fun is at the heart of an Evesham event that is gearing up for its sixth successive year of action-packed entertainment.

The Hampton Ferry Show is inviting Vale residents to its family fun-day on Sunday, August, 2, where visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities including a climbing wall, circus skills, art workshops and a bouncy castle.

The event is hosting new attractions too, with Shetland ponies from the Phoenix Children’s Foundation making their debut and an array of music from Elvis Presley tribute act, Andy Kelso, Evesham singer songwriter, Colin Pitts and W Factor finalists will get feet tapping.

The Mezzos will perform unique dance routines, and zumba and line dancing will also keep the rhythm going throughout the day.

Evesham Martial Arts Club will also be in attendance and youngsters will get the chance to have free tennis lessons from Inspire2Coach.

The popular Novelty Dog Show will be making a return and all money raised on the day will go towards Cancer Research UK.

Show director Fran Webb said: “The Hampton Ferry Show began life in 2009 as the Hampton Ferry Charity Gala Day, a one-off event organised to commemorate and celebrate the Huxley/Raphael family being in business for 80 years, but the event was such a success that it became an annual attraction.”

The show takes place from 11am to 4pm and car parking costs £2.
