A NEW music festival offering a unique blend of chilled sounds is being launched in the Vale.
Mello will be held at Throckmorton Airfield over the May bank holiday weekend next year, with the aim of ‘bringing back’ the essence of a chilled family festival through an eclectic mix of indie, folk, jazz and dance.
A spokesperson for SC Entertainments, the company behind Mello, said: “We feel musically Worcestershire lacks a festival that champions real music on a large scale, hence the need to create Mello.
“We’re delighted to be holding it at the iconic Throckmorton Airfield and intend to take into account the historical values it holds when producing the festival.
“It really is an exciting project are we’re delighted to be able to announce our first 2016 headline act The Levellers, and they’ll be alongside Lemar, The Blockheads, Pentangle and Electric Swing Circus.
“Expect many more names to be announced soon as well as a host of local talent.”
Early bird tickets are already available and cost £65, which covers the three days and includes camping.
