Artist's success creates vacancy at Evesham Arts Centre

EVESHAM Arts Centre is on the lookout for a new volunteer to help run its art exhibitions.

The centre, which displays the work of Vale artists and art groups on its foyer walls, is searching for someone to take over the role of local artist Kitty Kovacewic, who is stepping down after two years of working as a volunteer.

For more than ten years, the six week exhibitions have featured a wide range of paintings and photographs by Vale artists, with many of them being sold.

Neal Cartwright, arts centre organiser said: “Unfortunately for us, Kitty’s deserved success as an artist has left her with little time to arrange displays in our foyer.

“So we’re now looking for a new volunteer or volunteers, who are willing to help us put local artists’ work on view. We’re hoping to hear from people who are interested in art and have a bit of free time.

“Experience is optional and a lot of assistance will be provided.”

Call Mr Cartwright on 01386 48883 or e-mail [email protected] for more information.
