LINDA Carruthers has been crowned Ladies Club Champion at Broadway Golf Club after producing a stellar round in the annual competition.
Carruthers finished on a gross score of 161 across the 36-hole event to soar into an unassailable lead which no other players could match.
Her closest challenger was Vicky Watkins who finished second with a 174 gross score to earn the runner-up salver.
And Sarah McColl achieved a best nett score of 150 to win the crystal vase. Former Broadway member Julia Ward donated the vase to the club in 1995.
Wall-to-wall sunshine greeted the players throughout although a brisk breeze made for challenging conditions at times.
Scores were close at the end of the morning session with very few points separating the leaders.
However, Carruthers eventually pulled clear of the chasing pack to take the title with Watkins in second.
And Broadway also hosted the bronze division competition player over 18 holes.
Jane Salter took first place with a gross score of 101 while Angela Sollis finished a close second with a gross score of 102.
