EVESHAM United lost 3-0 against League Two side Cheltenham Town as Mike Ford’s side continue their preparations for the 2026/27 season.
A brace from Charlie McCann put the visitors in command at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium before Sopuru Obieri completed the scoring.
Evesham play three levels below Cheltenham but made a bright start as Josh Barlow forced visiting goalkeeper Joe Day into a save with a driven effort.
The visitors responded with a chance of their own as Ryan Broom’s close-range effort went narrowly wide.
However, Cheltenham broke the deadlock on 15 minutes when McCann turned home a loose ball after Brendan Beard denied George Miller.
The Robins almost drew level soon after as Kai Churchley won possession on the edge of the box and fired a shot narrowly over the crossbar.
Cheltenham went close before the break as Miller stung the palms of Beard and then saw his attempted lob trickle inches past the post.
Beard made another stop early in the second period as the Evesham keeper kept out Jonathan Tomkinson’s attempt.
However, the visitors eventually doubled their lead five minutes from time as McCann found the bottom right corner from the edge of the box from Jordan Shipley’s knockdown.
And the League Two side added a third goal at the death when Obieri converted McCann’s cross from the left from close range.
