Tory hopeful to host free net workshops

A SERIES of free internet training workshops to help businesses and charities enhance their web presence will be held across Mid Worcestershire.

Organised by Nigel Huddleston, the Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Mid Worcestershire, the workshops will be held at the Lygon Arms in Broadway on October 18 and November 8.

A further session will be held at the St Andrews Town Hotel in Droitwich Spa on November 22.

The workshops are being offered in response to requests Nigel has received from local businesses to share his own experiences working for Google and insights about the internet.

He will showcase many tools and sources of information that are available, many for free, to help businesses fully exploit opportunities on the internet.

“When I was selected as the candidate for Mid Worcestershire I said I wanted to leverage my experience in business and the internet to help the local community – and running these workshops seems a great way to do this.” he said.

“The workshops are explicitly not political events and anyone interested in the internet or involved in business or charities in the Worcestershire area is welcome to attend for free.

“While obviously I will be using my knowledge of Google at the sessions, the workshops will not just focus on Google products but will cover overall digital trends in the UK as well as interesting new features available in online maps, with videos and

social media in general.”

Anyone interested in attending the events is asked to e-mail Nigel at [email protected] or call 01905 780607 for more information.
