THOUSANDS of people packed into Evesham to enjoy the popular annual River Festival.

Crown Meadow was packed with visitors as the two-day event was filled with activity under beautiful sunny skies.

This year’s programme of activities included fly-pasts, live music and food, craft stalls, boat and rescue demonstrations, a beer tent and boating competitions and a raft race.

The two-day festival also included its traditional and famous illuminated boat parade and fireworks extravaganza.

Doug Payne, organiser of the festival, said: “I’m really pleased with the way the event went. The feedback so far has been great especially from the boaters who took part.”
