Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 25th Mar, 2018   0

FOLLOWING on from my last article, I am now safely home enjoying relatively mild temperatures.

Inside the Artic Circle we went out to view the phenomenon of the Northern Lights in temperatures of around minus 25 degrees centigrade, but it was really worth it.

The reaction from my fellow travellers was electric as we witnessed the dancing lights in the sky above us. It was a truly amazing sight as the light particles, which had travelled all the way from the sun, performed in the night sky.

Once again nature showed us the power and majesty of creation and the wonders, which surround us.

This reminded me of the verse in the first book of the Bible, Genesis, which states, “God made two great lights, the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.”

Look up into the clear night sky and witness the wonder of the heavens above and appreciate the beauty that is all around us.

It is really amazing that this same creative God is so interested in each one of us that he sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Saviour and Lord and so helps us to realise that this can be our personal experience
