THE OTHER day my wife and I travelled to Malvern and then to Colwall and Ledbury.
A return journey of just under a hundred miles, we realised we had encountered over twenty temporary traffic lights and the subsequent roadworks.
However annoyed we might have felt, there was nothing we could do until the light in front of us turned to green allowing us to proceed.
There can be many times in our lives when the ‘red light’ is against us and our planned way forward is stopped for one reason or another.
Life is not always as straight forward as we would want it to be and so it can be very frustrating indeed.
We read about many people in the Bible whose journey was often thwart with holdups and delays.
Of course, there were the times God allowed the delays to happen in order for the person involved to be kept from danger and harm. At other times it would be for their own good or the good of others.
Living in today’s world is not always easy but as we commit our lives to God through His Son, Jesus Christ, we can experience a great difference and encouragement, not just for ourselves but for those around us.
