THE LAST year is now behind us and a new year stretches out in front.
I expect we all will have had our ‘ups and downs’ during the past 12 months but now we have another year of opportunity ahead.
What does 2019 hold for each one of us?
We can plan out our lives as we want it to be but there are many occasions that come upon us unexpectedly that can catch us unawares.
There are many uncertainties that lie ahead of us, nationally, politically and in commerce for which we have little jurisdiction but which will affect us all in one-way or another.
No matter how much we plan, life is never certain and the ‘road ahead’ is not always straightforward.
So many of us make ‘New Year resolutions’ but how many of us actually keep them?
King Solomon writing in the Old Testament of the Bible said this, “Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun”.
