A PERSHORE-based choir is inviting men of all ages to learn a song with them.
In a fresh recruitment drive, Vale Harmony The A Cappella Fellas chorus is dedicating three Wednesday night rehearsals to newcomers to learn a new arrangement of the song ‘What a Wonderful World’.
“We need more male singers and we’re convinced there are men out there who would like to sing but are perhaps too shy to come and give it a try,” said Colin Pemberton, public relations officer for the chorus.
“We sing in four parts, Bass, Baritone, Leads and Tenors singing the higher notes. We’re unaccompanied by any musical instruments, it’s purely male voices, “explained Colin who sings in the Leads section of the chorus.
“We’re not looking for soloists but singers who are happy to blend in with the harmonised sound of a men’s chorus… and it is a beautiful sound.”
The sessions, called Learn a Song…Love to Sing, will be at the St Andrew’s Centre in Church Street, Pershore on April 12, 19 and 26 starting at 7pm through to 9.30pm.
