EVESHAM fire crews tackled a lorry fire in Harvington yesterday (January 21).

Two engines were called to the scene at about 11am and used hose reel jets to tackle the 7.5 tonne lorry which was a blaze.

The fire ‘destroyed’ the cab and no one was injured in the incident.

A spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire Service said: “Two crews from Evesham Fire Station attended the incident which involved a 7.5 tonne lorry cab which was destroyed by fire.

“Crews extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and hose reels jets.”
