Firefighters tackle 25 tonne scrap metal lorry blaze on M5

FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a lorry fire of 25 tonnes of scrap steel on the M5 between junctions seven and eight.

Crews from Worcester used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to put out he blaze on the articulated lorry on the southbound carriageway earlier today (Wednesday)

No injuries have been reported.
