A MASTERCHEF champion is inviting Vale residents to indulge in his new six-course menu.

Mark Stinchcombe, Eckington Manor’s head chef and winner of ‘Masterchef: The Professionals 2015’, together with partner Sue Stinchcombe, are inviting guests to the country house hotel from Wednesday, June 22 to Saturday, June 25, to sample their new dishes.

Costing £75 per person, the special menu will include a main of fillet of beef, marrow bone and crusted short rib with carrots and a charcoal emulsion – famously described as ‘outstanding’ by Greg Wallace.

Visitors can also enjoy scallops served with roasted lemon, peas and buttermilk and a dessert of elderflower panna cotta with strawberry parfait, gooseberry and candyfloss.

Judy Gardner, owner and founder of Eckington Manor said: “We’re hugely proud of Mark’s achievements and are delighted to be sharing his culinary highlights with our Masterchef menu this June.

“Mark’s journey on Masterchef gripped the nation and catapulted him onto a national stage, inviting him into the sitting rooms of people up and down the country as they tuned in to follow his progress throughout the series.

“As we all know with food programmes, they get our tummies rumbling and inspire us with the wonderful culinary creations. Our Masterchef menu, carefully crafted by Mark and Sue, will enable guests to relive Mark’s highlights on one of the nation’s best-loved shows.”
