A Christmas Message from Nigel Huddleston MP

Evesham Editorial 25th Dec, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

CHRISTMAS provides – for most of us – a welcome break from work, and a chance to relax and catch up with loved ones.

Quite rightly it should also be a time to enjoy ourselves. With an American wife and two young children, our house has, as fellow Badsey residents will attest, been adorned with festive cheer since around ‘Thanksgiving’.

That said, I know that 2015 may well have been a difficult year for many of you and that for some Christmas can be a challenge. At this time of year, we think of those less fortunate than ourselves. We also have time to reflect on the year which has passed and the challenges for the one to come.

2015 has obviously been a year of great change for me personally. The past seven months as an MP have flown by and I would like to thank the 1,500 plus constituents who have contacted me since my election and all those business, charities and community groups who have hosted me. I am not too proud though to admit that I am looking forward to a restful Christmas!

Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to express gratitude to all those who serve in the Armed Forces, particularly those who are unable to be with their loved ones over the festive season, and to our police and emergency services who continue to work at a time when most of us are enjoying ourselves.

This Christmas, on behalf of the Huddlestons and my office, I wish you a wonderful, peaceful Christmas, and a healthy and prosperous 2016!
