PARISHIONERS and friends packed out St Mary’s Church in Elmley Castle to mark the retirement of two much-loved priests.
A special service was held for the Rev Richard Worsley and his wife the Rev Christine Worsley to pay tribute to the couple who are retiring to Yorkshire.
Richard has been Rector of Elmley Castle with Bricklehampton and The Combertons and Associate Priest of Ashton Under Hill for the past four years.
Rev Christine Worsley served as the Canon of Worcester Cathedral and Associate Priest of the churches around Bredon Hill.
During the service, the Link Choir sang Samuel Wesley’s anthem, ‘Lead us Lord,’ and Elmley Castle First School Choir sang ‘One more step along the world I go.’
