A KIND hearted Miss Worcestershire contestant celebrated her 21st birthday by raising money for good causes.
Kate Whitaker, 21, from Evesham, held an open mic night at The Swan on Port Street last Friday (December 4) in aid of Cancer Research UK and Beauty with a Purpose, a charity which helps disadvantaged children across the UK.
Local singers from across the town joined the 21-year-old in raising the roof by enjoying a night of songs; the Miss Worcestershire contestant will also be bag packing at supermarkets to raise even more cash for good causes.
30 finalists are vying to be crowned Miss Worcestershire with the final taking place in Worcester on January 10.
“I celebrated my 21st birthday and raised money for charity by singing and involving lots of Evesham’s local singers,” Miss Whitaker said.
“It was a brilliant night and raised a lot of money for Cancer Research UK and for Beauty with a Purpose.”
