POLICE are appealing for the owner of a discarded knife to come forward after it was found by a member of the public in Evesham.
The knife was found on Cowl Street this morning (Monday).
Police believe the knife is used as a work tool and have said there is nothing to suggest anything suspicious at this stage in their enquiries.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “The knife was found in the Crowl Street area of Evesham sometime this morning.
“The knife appears to have been used as a work tool and there is nothing to suggest anything suspicious at this stage, police would just like to trace the owner.”
On Twitter, Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Discarded knife found by member of public. If yours please contact police we’d love to chat to you.”
