EVESHAM were unable to return to winning ways as they were beaten 47-24 by visitors Camp Hill in the Midlands Intermediate Cup second round on Saturday.
The Shirley side were ultimately too strong for the Vale team, but the hosts could take plenty of positives from the game as they fielded a number of young players fresh from the junior ranks.
Seeing the young guns emerge is a credit to the club and Evesham earned some reward for their efforts with four tries, two of which were converted.
Try-scorers were Josh Sands, James Roberts, Tom Williams and Mike Ainsworth, with Williams bettering two of the scores.
Mid-table Evesham return to Midlands Two West (South) action on Saturday with a visit to lowly Southam, who remain without a victory.
