FIVE teams of 28 children from South Worcestershire Lifeguard Club impressed at the Royal Life Saving Society West Midlands Rookie Gala at Droitwich Leisure Centre.
The two under 11 teams featured many children who had never taken part in a gala before and they successfully navigated the five different events.
The A team won silver medals and the B team finished fourth.
In the under 14 event, the C team had the help of four members of the under 11 team and they achieved fifth place.
The B team secured bronze medals and the A team of Tom Clifford, Jacob Hesketh, Jacob Goodall, Lara Harding, Ellen Forson and Ethan Pitt won gold medals and the cup.
