PETER Ratledge and Martin Williams topped a field of 13 pairs of Evesham Golf Club seniors who competed for the Wychavon Cup.
The course was in wonderful condition despite the recent dry weather and the competition format was a better ball medal with drawn partners off the white tees.
The winning duo totalled nett 69 and runners-up Jeff Fletcher and Mick Hocking made nett 74.
Third on countback were Steve Deakin and Peter Belcher with nett 75.
EGC seniors were beaten 4-2 by visitors Puckrup Hall in a keenly contested affair on the Craycombe course.
Evesham welcomed Derek Jackson to their squad for their third home match of the season and, although the weather was dry, it was cool and the course was playing at its best.
