THE LADIES’ Waltz competition at Evesham Golf Club once again lived up to its reputation as being great fun.
The pressure is on when everyone has to perform well on the holes when three scores count. Sadly, it was a cold and dull day, but that did not dampen the players’ spirits.
The winners were Verity Lawrance, Margaret Roberts and Frances Wilkinson with a score of 47 and runners-up were Angela Budden, Alison Scott and Penny Osborne with 46.
A week later an individual Stableford friendly took place in beautiful conditions.
Twenty-seven golfers competed in the 12-hole contest and the winner was Lesley Curnock with 26 points.
Runner-up was Osborne with 25 points on countback from third placed Ruth Masters.
