Villagers ease into Bluck Cup last 16

CHARLTON FLADBURY progressed into the Bluck Cup second round with a convincing 5-1 victory at Ashton 88 thanks to goals from Green (2), Burman, Clements and Waterman.

The villagers are joined in the last 16 by Alderton who hit nine without reply against visitors Strawberry Field United through Matt Greaves (3), Davis (3), Baker, Allen and Moss.

Goals from Johns (2), Bullock, Dawe and Dyke earned Ambi Allsports an excellent 5-1 home win over Dragons, whilst Fortis defeated visitors TDMS Evesham 6-1 thanks to strikes from Wallace (2), Leon Napper, Kieron Napper, Simcox and Herborn. The visitors’ consolation came via Horne.

Broadway United stay top of Division One after goals from Cooper, Jason Horsburgh and Evans secured a 3-1 home victory against Stour Excelsior, for whom Clarke netted.




Bretforton Old Boys were 6-1 winners at Offenham Rovers as Clarke (2), Beddoes, Brain, Cook and Davis did the damage. Cresswell registered for Rovers.

Mickleton Rangers defeated visitors Leonard Stanley on penalties after a 1-1 draw to progress into the GFA Sunday Premier Cup second round, whilst Tewkesbury Town received a walkover against scheduled hosts Coney Hill United.


Matt Staley hit five goals for Bretforton Old Boys Reserves in their 6-0 Division Two home win over Bredon in which Jennings was also on the mark.

Broadway United Reserves continued their impressive form by defeating hosts Badsey Recreation for the second Sunday running. Burtenshaw (2), Clark, Hoskin and Tomkotowicz scored for Broadway in their 5-2 win and Banning and Davies struck for the home side.

Sun Inn came from behind to defeat visitors Cropthorne 3-1 as Parry (2) and Watts scored for the victors to cancel out Bellamy’s opener.

Alcester Town head Division Three after goals from Colley (3), Welland (2), Chedham and Downey secured a 7-1 success at Fairfield Titans, for whom Stayt scored.

First half goals from Drake, Spilsbury and Vitch earned Stratford HGC the honours in the local derby as they won 3-1 at Pebworth, whose goal was scored by Rose, whilst Stour Excelsior Reserves defeated visitors Bengeworth 5-2 with goals from Johnson (2), Walker, Jewitt and Dexter.
