EVESHAM Archery Club members enjoyed some excellent success when they competed at the Wyre Forest Western tournament.

The Vale club had a number of archers shooting and ended up with many good scores including first place in the ladies’ compound for Jacquie Holmes as she equalled the UK record and set a new Worcestershire record.

Also finishing in first place were lady recurve archer Linda Haines, junior lady U16 compound Harriet Fletcher and gents compound Peter Williams in his first competition shooting compound.

There was a second place in the junior boys’ U12 recurve for Rohan Hewitt and Evesham also clinched the team trophy on what was a magnificent occasion for the club’s archers.
