BRETFORTON Old Boys lifted the Evesham Mechanical Services Knockout Cup in front of an excellent crowd at the Jubilee Stadium on Sunday as they defeated New Inn Pershore 1-0.

Bretforton were the better side and took the lead in the 27th minute through Jamie Clarke. New Inn were far better in the second half, hitting the woodwork, but could not find the equaliser and Old Boys have now completed two legs of a potential quadruple with two finals to go.

Offenham Rovers signed off their Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division One campaign with a 3-2 victory at Evesham WMC through Alex Trinder (2) and Nick Burrows. James White and James Bearcroft netted for Workies.

The result means Stour Excelsior finish runners-up in Division One.

Broadway United Reserves moved within a win of clinching a promotion place in Division Two with a 3-1 victory at Charlton Fladbury through goals from James Heritage (2) and Craig Burtenshaw.

Bretforton Old Boys Reserves stay second after a comfortable 5-1 win at Fortis thanks to goals from Simon Brain (2), Ben Greenwood, Ian Unwin and Ashley Booth. Jon Wallace scored for Fortis.

TDMS Harvington are third with a game in hand following a 6-0 victory at Badsey Recreation in which Jack Philpott (3), Luke Woodfield, Jack Hollins and an own goal did the damage.

An Alan Parry double earned Sun Inn the points in a 2-1 success at Bredon, for whom Anthony Washbourne scored, whilst Alderton saw their promotion hopes disappear with a 2-1 home defeat to Cropthorne.

It is a three-horse race for promotion in Division Three, of which Pebworth stay top after a 3-1 home victory over Ashton 88 through second half goals from Paul Skinner, Tom Benfield and Dave Jeffrey. Sam Frascano scored for Ashton.

Victory in their final game will guarantee promotion for Pebworth.

Wins in their final two matches would see TDMS Evesham lift the title following a comfortable 8-1 home win against Bengeworth. Ben Cole (2), Luke Phipps (2), Robbie Patching (2), Ryan Upson and Jack Howard Nailor scored the goals.

Ambi Allsports are currently second but have completed their games after Aidan Booth (2) and Steve Bullock scored in the 3-2 win at Stratford HGC, for whom David Veich and George Spilsbury scored.

Dragons won 3-0 at Fairfield Titans through goals from Alex Lane, Brett Danby and Scott Sinden, whilst Alcester Town edged out visitors Stour Excelsior Reserves 4-3.
