THIRTEEN-year-old twins and Evesham residents Jake and Jordan Lee – who box for Stratford & District Boxing Academy – are all smiles after reaching the semi-finals and quarter-finals respectively of the National Schoolboy Championships.
Jordan, who won his Midlands final on Sunday in Stoke-on-Trent, proceeds to the last eight on May 17 when he hopes to be joining his brother Jake, who drew a bye into the semi-finals, which will be taking place in Evesham on May 24.
Both boys are excited at the prospect of boxing in their home town and the club is very proud of their achievements given the high number of competitive opponents in their age and weight categories throughout the country.
Their head coach Mat Pickering said: “I can’t wait to see what both boys can produce in the latter stages of the national championships.
“They train hard and are a pleasure to work with. Good luck.”
