TEAM MTR Ducati Oxford and rider Michael Tustin are gearing up for their third season in the fiercely-contested Ducati TriOptions Cup, running alongside the prestigious British Superbike Championship.
The 2019 season-opener is at Silverstone National circuit on April 20 and the series will be contested over eight race meetings, with two races per weekend event.
Tustin is looking to start the season strongly and continue his promising end to the 2018 campaign.
Running Team MTR’s Ducati 959 Panigale for a third consecutive season, both Tustin and the team are excited to get the season under way.
Limited pre-season testing has hindered their development of the bike, but the rider is confident it will come good for the first meeting when he races at a track he has had success at in recent years.
“I’m looking forward to getting this season under way and at a local circuit we’ve had good results at I couldn’t think of a better way to start our 2019 campaign,” said Tustin.
“Although we have had nothing but hassle at our pre-season testing, both myself and the team are excited to get stuck in and try and continue our top ten points-scoring finishes we ended up with at the end of last season.
