PERSHORE won in convincing fashion in Coventry on Saturday to move back up to tenth in Midland Football League Division One.

Town keeper Andrew Yarnold made two good saves in the first half but it was Town who enjoyed most of the possession and had the better chances as Stuart Hall and Joe Robinson both went close.

Town dominated the second half and, after George Coley scored after 53 minutes from the edge of the box with a left-footed volley, the result was never in doubt.

Robinson increased the lead soon afterwards when put through by Aaron Xavier to place the ball past the keeper into the net.

Coley completed his brace with a right-footed shot late in the half by which time Town had already had plenty of other chances to increase their lead.

Substitute Grant Baker hit the post in the last minute for Pershore, whose last match of the season is at Uttoxeter Town on Saturday.
