LITTLETON will be looking to bounce back from an opening day drubbing when they kick off their first home fixture in the Midland League Division One.
The Ton Boys suffered a 6-0 defeat last weekend to ruin joint-managers Martin Schembri and Nick Smith’s first game in charge after former joint-bosses John Edwards and Wayne Bunn left in the summer for Studley.
But they will hope for better fortunes tomorrow when Lichfield City visit Five Acres.
Last weekend, new-look Littleton weren’t helped by a red card for keeper Joe Gisbourne after just 30 minutes at Pack Meadow.
Littleton’s best moments of the game came in the first two minutes as two attempts were cleared off the line and from the rebound Sean Cooke smashed his shot against the bar.
Play was pretty even but two free-kicks given away on the edge of the box proved their downfall.
Though Gisbourne parried one kick on six minutes, the ball fell for Adam Keeley to tap in the rebound.
Eight minutes later Dom Oliver made it 2-0, scoring direct from the kick.
It got worse just before the half-hour when Gisbourne was sent off for handling outside the box.
Although the 10 men tried hard, goals came at regular interval with Keeley and Oliver getting their second goals and Tom Ellis and Richard Learnihan adding to the tally.
