PHILIP THOMAS smacked an unbeaten century for Harvington but they had to settle for a winning draw against title rivals Highley in Worcestershire County League Division Five.
Thomas, batting at No 3, hit 109 not out off 126 balls, with 14 fours and two sixes, and shared a 129-run stand with skipper Chris Andrews for the second wicket.
The duo provided the bulk of the runs in Harvington’s 219-5 off 45 overs but visitors Highley recovered from losing the first two wickets cheaply to frustrate the home attack.
With Dylan Webster (57) and Brent Beadle (88no) leading the battle, Highley finished on 192-3.
They took six points to second-placed Harvington’s 12, and though Highley remain top their lead is now only five points.
Harvington travel to Cutnall Green on Saturday.
