PERSHORE Tennis Centre’s Naomie Tarver scooped two top prizes at the LTA Wheelchair National awards night.
Tarver claimed both the LTA National Women’s Singles and Doubles champion awards for the second successive year following a stellar 2023 season.
That came after Tarver starred at the LTA National Finals held in Shrewsbury, triumphing in all three of her matches.
In the women’s singles competition, Tarver won a thrilling match which lasted two hours and 30 minutes, eventually winning 10-5 in a third set tiebreak after dropping the first set 7-5 and winning the second 6-2.
Tarver then teamed up with Helen Bond to triumph in the women’s doubles event as the pair claimed a convincing 6-2, 6-3 victory.
And Tarver rounded off a remarkable weekend with success in the mixed doubles alongside fellow Pershore player Will Barton.
The Pershore duo won a final set tiebreak 11-9 after dropping the first set 7-5 before fighting back to win the second set 6-4.
Tarver held her nerve, serving for the win, to add another title to her collection alongside Barton as the pair showed great composure throughout.
