PERSHORE Tennis Centre provided the platform for adults and children with learning difficulties to play the game when it staged the first festival of its kind in the region.
Players from Telford Tennis Centre and Derwen College in Shropshire joined up with Pershore to create a Team Challenge event in which 19 players took part.
They scored points in teams, including various tennis activities to work on their serve, forehand, backhand, volleys, rallies and match play.
The winning squad was the red team, pictured with their fellow players and Pershore head coach Steve Bauer.
Simon Jones, chairman of Tennis Shropshire, said: “Everyone did a fantastic job in organising the challenge event. I have had some very positive feedback from the Shropshire team who really enjoyed the afternoon.”
Pershore Tennis Centre will be hosting a regional learning disability tournament on May 30/31 and welcomes support for the event by calling 01386 556677.
