ORGANISERS are delighted to announce that Freedom Leisure has become a new sponsor for this year’s Herefordshire & Worcestershire Sports Awards.
Freedom Leisure is a leading not-for-profit leisure trust managing 52 leisure facilities across the UK including Malvern Splash Leisure Complex, Sport Dyson Perrins Leisure Centre and Sport Martley Leisure Centre on behalf of Malvern Hills District Council, as well as Tenbury Swimming Pool on behalf of Tenbury Community Pool Limited.
The awards evening is a celebration of the sporting talent, achievements and contributions of individuals and clubs across the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Attended by more than 250 amateur and professional sports people, local businesses and dignitaries, the prestigious evening will take place on Wednesday, November 4 at Sixways Stadium in Worcester.
Freedom Leisure is sponsoring the Community Project of the Year Award, which recognises an innovative project which uses sport and/or physical activity to improve and enhance the quality of life of the people of Herefordshire and/or Worcestershire’s communities.
The new sponsor adds to the already established partnerships that the Awards has with Bullivant Media – publisher of the Observer, University of Worcester, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Scimitar Sports and BBC Hereford & Worcester, all of whom are honoured to be involved with the event.
Stephen Brewster, Director of the Sports Partnership, said: “This event is our chance to honour our local sportsmen and women, coaches, volunteers, clubs and officials.
