Second place for Fuller in debut season

EVESHAM’S Terry Fuller is celebrating a second placed finish overall in the Michelin Power Cup Rookies 1,000cc Championship in his debut year.

After a crash in last Friday’s testing, Fuller qualified P2 overall and P1 Rookie on the grid for the final meeting. Race one was very wet but he pushed on and sealed victory in the wet conditions.

For race two the track was drying and Fuller had some good battles and took the Rookie 1,000cc win in that race before doing the same in races three and four to complete a clean sweep on the day.

It was a fine display by Fuller, who suffered a did not finish in the last round at Oulton Park where his gearbox broke, ultimately leaving him 19 points shy of winning the whole championship.

However, a magnificent end to the season has clinched second place for Fuller, who was a genuine racing rookie at the start of the campaign.

Fuller said: “I pushed on thanks to work in the gym which sponsors me, Utopia, and on my bicycle, as I’m also sponsored by About Bikes of Evesham.

“My fitness and healthy living really made a difference. I would also like to thank my amazing wife Laura Fuller who is with me at every round and supports me all the way and even gets stuck into helping with the bikes, etc.

“Simon James has been a great help all season and I’d like to thank my sponsors Powerline Tattoo Supplies, Full On Ink, Utopia Gym & Fitness, About Bikes, Shark Helmets and Motul UK.
