THE CLOCKS had moved forward an hour and there was an early morning chill in the air at Broadway Golf Club, but Sunday morning soon transformed into a beautiful one as clear blue skies provided near perfect conditions for the men’s Broadway Bogey.
A full field turned out to compete in this par competition – the first official qualifier of the season – and all attempted to make the most of the ideal conditions.
Mick Sandalls made a winning score of 4 up, ahead of second placed Jamie Thomas who matched the excellent score but lost out on countback.
Third with 2 up was Allen Terry, leaving Paul Homans fourth on countback.
