RUGBY UNION - Pershore RFC secure crucial win against relegation rivals Kings Norton

PERSHORE RFC secured a crucial 24-20 bonus point win against relegation rivals Kings Norton to move clear of the bottom in the Midlands 4 West (South) table.

Chris Steele, Tommy Hayes, Tom Westby and Dave Oliver all touched down for the home side with Oliver adding two decisive conversions at Piddle Park.

The visitors matched Pershore’s try count to come away with a losing bonus point with Oliver’s kicking the difference between the two teams in breezy conditions which did not suit the home side’s expansive game.

And the result means Pershore sit ninth in the table, six points clear of bottom side Chaddesley Corbett, after claiming their third win of the season.

Pershore are next in action away at Old Wheatleyans on Saturday, February 19 with kick-off at 2.15pm at Norman Place Road.
