EVESHAM Vale Triathletes ace Lee Ross claimed a fine victory Sunday’s Hereford Aquabike event.
The race challenged competitors to a 400m pool swim followed by a 12-mile bike route. Ross had a strong swim but then put huge gains into his rivals once on the bike – climbing well up to the turnaround point and then touching 40mph on the way back down.
He finished a good five minutes ahead of his nearest rival for a decisive win. This result comes as a worthy reward after battling injury for eight months and shows he is returning to good form for the rest of the season.
