TWO victories were secured as part of a five-team South Worcestershire Lifeguard Club effort at Saturday’s Royal Life Saving Society County Rookie Gala.
Teams from Worcester, Redditch, Evesham and Pershore (South Worcestershire) battled it out in five disciplines in two age groups.
The South Worcestershire 12 to 14-year-old teams won both the gold and the bronze team medals. The winning team was made up of Tom Clifford, Ben Jarvis, Jacob Hesketh, Lara Harding, Jacob Goodall, Oli Carney and Bob Rice.
The club’s 11 and under teams featured several new members in their first gala and finished in seventh, fifth and first places.
The gold medal-winning and most experienced team featured Laura Inett, Jasmine Gale, George Sutcliffe, Natalij Kelly, Mia Robbins, Ruby Stankowich, Georgia Wibberley and Lucy Jones.
