Record numbers enjoy successful Fladbury Festive Five

THERE was a record turnout for the fifth annual Fladbury Festive Five race, held at EVG, Lower Moor, over 5.8 miles of road and trails around Fladbury.

The event, which raises money for local community projects, was keenly contested.

Age group winners were as follows: Junior male – Calum Andrews; Senior male – Sebastian Shaw; Senior female – Natasha Dent; Veteran 35 and first man – Danny Harris; Veteran 35 and first female – Lindsey Lewis-Painter; Veteran 45 male – Mark Ellison; Veteran 45 female – Emma Knowles; Veteran 55 Male – Dave Johnson; Veteran 55 female – Julie Caseley; Veteran 65 – Alan Wicks.

Race director Julie Cross said: “It was great to see so many local age group winners. As ever, the race had a great atmosphere and everyone enjoyed the free cake afterwards!”




A summer event is planned over the same course.
