THE summer sunshine turned to rain to put a dampener on all of Pershore’s teams in last weekend’s fixtures.
The heavy rain meant the firsts, seconds, and thirds all had their matches abandoned.
The first team’s Birmingham League Second Division clash away to Birmingham side Attock was cut short after 26 overs.
An unbeaten 41 from Qamar Khan had taken Attock, who had won the toss, to 167 for three, from 26 overs, before the rains arrived.
The Plums are at home to Wombourne tomorrow (Saturday).
Pershore Seconds batted for 32 overs in their 2nd XI, First Division contest at home to Halesowen before play was abandoned.
The hosts, who had been put into bat, reached 167-4, with opener Liam Ridings leading the way with 75 not out off 81 balls, including 12 fours. Alexander Brown hit an unbeaten 38 off 31 deliveries.
The Seconds head to Wombourne.
Opener Dominic Capaldi was also in good form for Pershore Thirds in their Worcestershire County League Division Five clash at Cookhill.
He scored 73 as the Plums reached 116-2 off 26.4 overs before the rains arrived.
Pershore visit Redditch Entaco 3rds at Studley Sports & Social on Saturday.
