POWER Maxed Racing secured their best results of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season to date as both of the team’s drivers secured top-10 finishes at Thruxton.
The Evesham-based team enjoyed their best performance of the season as Ash Hand finished fifth in race one, having qualified sixth, his best individual result of the Championship this term.
However, Hand was unable to finish the second race before coming home 17th in race three.
Teammate Michael Crees was more consistent across the three races as he finished in the top-10 in each race for the first time this season.
Crees qualified just behind Hand in seventh and finished eighth in races one and three, dropping a place to ninth in race two – he previously had a single top-10 finish to his name in the BTCC this season.
And the results mean the pair sit next to each other in the driver standings with Hand 19th on 54 points and Crees 20th on 50 points.
The BTCC returns at Silverstone on the weekend of September 24/25
