EVESHAM Vale Triathletes collected lots of prizes in the Summer Duathlon at Castle Combe.
The race consisted of a two-mile run, ten-mile cycle and another two-mile run – all on the Castle Combe race circuit.
Four members of the triathlon club attended the first meeting of four and Marcus Mumford put in an excellent performance to take first place overall.
Guy Anderson, who is still a junior, came over the line in 16th place to take the prize for the first junior to finish.
This was the first duathlon of the season for Lindsey Lewis-Painter who put in an impressive effort and collected the third-placed female prize.
Julian Horsley brought the field home in 63rd position. This was his first duathlon and his team-mates are sure he will go from strength to strength.
