PLAYED over 16 holes, Broadway Golf Club’s ladies’ Pink Ball Stableford saw teams of four embark upon their task of making two best scores to count on each hole.
One of these had to be earned by the lady playing with the pink ball and, whilst some found this a challenge, others relished the opportunity and this was demonstrated by the impressive scoring.
On a fine spring morning, clear winners with a tremendous 63 points were Chris Saunders, Diana Chambers, June Griffin and Sonia Ward.
Achieving a well deserved second place were Brenda Whittingham, Annabelle Carter, Lin Everitt and Nadine Simpkin who brought in an excellent 61 points, ahead of third placed Chris Parkinson, Louise Folkes, Barb Buggin and Rita Smith who scored a commendable 60 points.
