Parish Games set to start in earnest

Evesham Editorial 21st Jun, 2018   0

THE 40TH Wychavon Parish Games begin on Saturday when the bell boating, sponsored by Malcolm Limrick, takes place on the River Avon behind Pershore Leisure Centre.

This is always a very well attended event which attracts many spectators and is a really exciting way to start this year’s games.

The men’s five-a-side, sponsored by Badsey Butchers, takes place on Sunday, July 1 at Badsey Sports Club and this will be followed by the rounders, sponsored by Marshalls Transport, which will be staged on Sunday, July 8 at Pershore High School.

Although entries for this year’s knockout events have now closed, they can still be taken for some of the later one-day events including angling, bowls and table tennis. Contact Sue Collins on 01905 841269 or visit www.wychavongames.org.
