EVESHAM Golf Club seniors enjoyed a nine-hole Stableford before their AGM and outgoing captain Ian Wood sealed his year as captain by winning the 24-strong competition by one shot.
Before the meeting took place, the prize-giving for the Ralph Burton knockout competition and the Spencer Plate was held.
The winner of the Ralph Burton trophy was Wood and runner-up was Ian Facer, whilst the Spencer Plate victor was Alan Askew and runner-up was Dave Kewley.
At the AGM, outgoing captain Wood thanked the section their help and support and particularly thanked members of the committee for all their hard work in making the seniors events and competitions a great success.
The charity fund-raising effort by the section means Wood’s chosen charity Acorns will receive a cheque for £2,000. He then handed over the reins to new captain Bill Dobie and wished him well for the coming year.
