BEAUTIFUL weather greeted the players when Evesham Golf Club ladies held an Open 3-Ball Alliance which was a huge success, not least in part to the brilliant organisation by Jenny Masser and her team.
Many golfers participated from clubs who were new to the Evesham set-up and they all enjoyed the day and gave very positive feedback on the condition of the course.
To top it off, competitors ate some wonderful food prepared by Lisa and her team, so well done to everyone who contributed to such a worthwhile day.
The prize table was beautifully arranged in autumnal colours and overflowed with all the many prizes awarded and the main results were as follows:
3-Ball Alliance (best two scores to count): 1st prize: Droitwich team – S Amphlett, J Millenchip, J Taylor (73 points); 2nd prize: Ladbrook Park team – J Badman, J Turner, S Sims (72 points); 3rd prize: Evesham/North Worcs team – J Hunt, E Walker, D Barker (71 points).
Nearest the pin: Jenny Braithwaite – The Vale.
Longest drive: Jodie Bennett – Bransford.
Best back nine: Bransford team – A Hamilton, P Hatton, J Bennett (42 points).
Best front nine: Evesham/Broadway team – M Williams, V Lemon, B Whittington (33 points).
