MORE than 40 women from Evesham and beyond came together to try out a new social netball league in the town.
Participants were urged to get ‘off the couch and on to the court’ by organisers Leagues4you, which ran an introductory session for women wanting to try the sport for the first time or brush up on their skills.
Emma Edmonds, of Leagues4you in Evesham, explained: “We were delighted to see so many ladies at the first session. Lots of women attended as individuals and were put into teams on the night.
“We welcome individual players and whole teams at all levels. Courts, umpires, bibs and balls are all provided, so just come along and play.”
